As boats started rolling in Friday morning there was an air of excitement. For the past 3 days leading up to the event I had the telephone mounted to my head from 8 am to 12 pm getting things ready and giving directions. Friday around 2:00 Mr Rod w/ VP Racing called & let me know he was on his way. I wasn't expecting a 54' tractor trailer!! But we got her in place & all was well.

Saterday was normal registration opened at 9:00 with free shirts to everyone & we had boats steadly coming in
from all accross the south east. Around 12:00 we had a very breif drivers meeting (informing of the low water levels etc.,. ) and hit the water.

After a quick ride to "the rock" we hit the bank & the fun began. We had more boats at the bridge waiting their turn to run than we did on the bank. I saw a few passes that were 5 boats wide!! The GA boys had come down loaded for bear & boy did they get their moneys worth. Brad Williams from Ga brough down his "sleeper" Hydrostream V-king with Merc power & gave everybody a run. It by far is the best launching v-king I've ever seen and its quick too. David Pou of SC had his Mirage 1/4 Master with Merc power out playing too. David kept his title of king of the rock as no one could top his 115 mph passes. There were many boats of all different makes with one intention having fun and maybe setting a state reord.
