Motor runs just fine, but needs 2 minor things:
1. Steering Cable work. The steering cable is locked up. There is a small area where the cable got crimped. This might be an easy fix where you just free up that particular area, or it may need a new steering cable.
2. Speed Adjustment Circuit. The current circuit only allows the motor to run in HIGH speed on BOTH 12 and 24 volt speeds (speeds 1-4 do not work).
**I have the new speed adjustment circuit and will give it to whoever buys the trolling motor. It should only take a few minutes to replace.
With me having the new Speed Adjustment Circuit, I can't imagine you'd be looking at more than $30 worth of work on the motor if you repair the steering cable yourself. I looked up some steering cables on Ebay, and most were less than $30...but like I said, it may be as simple as freeing up the crimped area, so it may not cost anything.
To give a comparison, a 26lb thrust version of this same model trolling motor is currently selling for $200 on Ebay, so this should be a pretty good deal for someone.
In any case, the motor runs good. It was pulling my 20' Stratos just fine. I will even plug it in to my boat to demonstrate.
Thanks.
