The wife and I will be in Anderson in the middle of October. I was thinking of bringing the boat to try some bass fishing on Hartwell. We'll only be there for a few days, so I won't have time to do any major searching on the lake. I'm not looking for anyone's secret holes, but if you'd be willing to advise me where to start and maybe what type of baits/colors so I'm not wasting a bunch of time, I'd appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

Any red flake jig should work but lately red flake trick worm with 1/4 Oz Shaky jig hook black has been great. Buzz bait black or white early morn, and texas rig zoom craw red flake is good too. Also October is a good time to get back in the creeks near rock or covered structure. Try out beaver dam in Townville but make sure to not pass up points around 15ft of water. Good luck out there!
