Put in at Freindship today about 9:30. Internding to fish Coneross up river. Instead went dirctly across to creek on right, Started on the point dock, Had jb,cb,sb and cr.ready. Went down the bank throwing everything. No takers. Water very stained. Try Starbucks Vanilla Latte color. WT 58-63 in the back.
Returned to the point and went gown right side. About 1/2 way to back caught first 2 lber on 1/2 oz War Eagle SB, Dbl willow gold and chrome, white skirt. Nothing else in this creek arm.
My friend the WIND started blowing, about 12:30.
Went out toward main lake and into the first creek after the swim beach, Went all way to back, WT 61 but cooling as I went shallower?
Turned around ans fished down right bank. Caught 2 lber on graverl bank. Fish was literally on the bank. 2 turns and she hit. White War Eagle SB, gld col and # 4.5 Chrome willow. 3/8 oz. Missed one. Caught another 100 yds further down. SB.
Came to some crappie brush between 2 docks. SB just stopped. Thought I was huing. Put heasvy pressue to free the bait and a fish at least 3 ft. long rolled fouight the rod. Literally I could nopt move the fish more than a couple of feet. SB came flying back at me. Dejected. Decided to put it on the trailer and go home but instead I decided to fish the windy bank in front of me. Wow. 5 more fish on the SB. ALL hit within 3 ft. of the bank in about 5 ft. Boat was in 15 feet.
WT 63-64 on the windy bank. Time to go 4 pm. Water stained. Could see SB at a depth of 24 in. before it disapeared.
ALL the fish after the BIG LOSS were 2 lbers like they were clones. Only 1 had a belly bilge so I'm guessing they were males I was catching. They were LM not Spots.
It will only get better from this point on. The FLW guys should be weighing some big sacks.
GOOD FISHING, hope you can make it out
