We caught 4 spots & 9 striper/hybrid. Fished mostly around Andersonville Island.
Where in the heck are Large Mouth bass on that lake? I have still never caught a LM on Hartwell, Im use to fishing blow downs stationary docks, stumps NOT in 50 ft of water. Whats the best pattern to fish for LMB on Lake Hartwell, Im lost?

Seriously-aint been on hartwell for a while but wish I was..great lake this time of year..spots and blacks on the main for me-points-humps and piles. Maybe can get out a day next week for fun. The tx last sat out of portmans had several good sacks to 20 lbs I hear.

my best advice is to keep moving. fishing are schooling here and there and when not schooling they are suspended. i've been fishing hartwell heavy for the last 3 weeks. pockets, points, humps, and "middle of nowhere" open water. have caught fish on a variety of baits. i'd start with baits with different actions. then start alternating sizes, and maybe colors to try for the perfect combination. biggest thing is to keep moving. there are a lot of fish eating, just gotta find the right school. good luck!

side scan sonar is a big help for finding bait. It took 20+ to win, 19+ was 2nd out of Portman, but the same day it only took 7lbs out of Broyles.

Sorry fellas wasnt able to go this weekend after all, next week I will be at Santee so it will be a couple weeks before I can get to Hartwell.
