There doesn't seem to be any other tournaments this weekend... So, if you're gonna fish anyway, you might as well donate $25 to the day on the lake. (joking - because I donate weekly)
Seriously, it looks like the weather is clearing for a nice Saturday. Come out and join us. We should have 25 boats.
I'll be there by 6am. That should be enough time for me to get everyone's entry prior to a 7am blastoff. You can find me sitting under the lights at the rest rooms.

Thanks to all that showed up today for the tournament. We had 38 boats and most everyone weighed in 5 fish limits. It took almost 13 pounds to be in the money. Results as follows:
1st place... Griffith / Strickland with 14.41 pounds
2nd place... Turner / Breitwiser with 13.62 pounds
3rd place... Hoover / Hoover with 12.86 pounds
4th place... Garrickk / Crowe with 11.74
5th place... Merck / Eaves with 10.62 pounds
Two teams tied for big fish with a largemouth that weighed 4.18 pounds.
Thanks again for coming out and fishing with us. See you in two weeks on Lake Keowee.

What can i tell you. 38 boats and none of them said what they caught their fish on.
We caught 20+ fish but only had 8 pounds. We caught a limit pretty quick on worms in 20 feet of water and them we caught some culling fish shallow on a fluke.
ONe of my buddies caught 10 pounds and he caught his fish throwing a bladerunner on points.
Again, the winning teams didn't say what they caught their fish on.

We caught our fish in 35-45 foot of water on Timber lines. we used jigging spoons and pig and jigs to catch them on. the bites were few and far between but the bites we got were solid fish. However, I dont think this will be the pattern to go to in about another week or two. The fish will be gone from there very soon with this weather like it is and has been lately. The pattern is pretty simple but LOCATION is EVERYTHING when doing that pattern.

Thanks you two I appreciate it, I dont fish tourneys so but hate waisting a day & gas going & not having a clue what to throw or where to start my day. I just want to catch fish & have a good time, 20+ fish even if they are on the small side is still fun & I wouldnt consider it a waisted day. So thanks again.
