Headed out yesterday afternoon to do a little sight fishing on Hartwell. Fished from 2:00 to 5:30. Caught 5 fish, saw all of them eat the bait. 3 were on bed, 2 were cruisers. Caught them on floating worm, tube and jig. Saw a lot of other cruisers and smaller males protecting beds. The bedding fish would respond to the bait almost instantly, but it took a while to get them to actually inhale it. Had one push the bait over a foot with his nose and never open his mouth. I rewarded him by leaving him alone after that. He was obviously smarter than me! All fish were 2lbs.+ but best fish was only 3lbs..
If you like to sight fish, go to Hartwell this week.
