Fished from around 4:30 till 9 had a good time but no large fish. I must be looking in the wrong place or wrong part of the lake cause I saw only 1 bedding fish and it was not locked down on the bed. Did manage to catch 10 fish with the largest being 2lb 14 oz best 5 would have been between 9 and 10 pounds. Water temp was 66 all fish came on soft plastic-c-rig

390, you were a little late getting started to be able to see the bedding fish very well. I was out there from 2:30 to 5:45 and caught 5 off the bed and saw 3 or 4 others I couldn't get interested in my bait. It was tough to see them even though I had the sun higher in the sky than you did. I put in at River Forks and fished down the lake from there. I got one beautiful 5 pounder, a 3 pounder and the others were 1.5-2lbs.. One was a coosa that was bedding on some rock. I have never seen such an agressive fish on the bed. That thing would attack my jig every time it touched down. He claimed 3 of my trailers before I finally hooked him. When I put him back he immediately attacked a bream that was swimming in the area.
Two of the fish I caught had been caught before, presumably off the beds they were on. It was good to see that a brief trip aboard a boat did not deter their spawning efforts.

Thanks for the tip Greg. I'll give it a try this weekend.
