Anyone been catching any crappie? I was thinking of taking my son and daughter out tomorrow evening after work to try and catch a few.

Also, fished Wed pm after the storms passsed for a few hours. Searched hard for any bedding activity, and couldn't find any. Guess the storm sent them out deeper. Did mange to catch four. One on sb ina tree about 4 ft of water, the others on crig in about 8 ft. All around 1 - 1.5 lbs. Water temp 70 -71, and stained water.

Crappies dooing pretty good near the bank around brush on secondary points...

Fished last Friday way back in Choestoea Cr. Go all the way back untill the water is 8-10 ft. Find a brush pile. Bear right when the split comes up brush pile should be in that 8-10 ft. area. Let me know how you guys do.

yea, right! i'm gonna make a run from clemson marina all the way to choestoa with a 4 yr old and a 9 yr old at 6pm. not to mention the $ of gas.
i'll have to find'em on seneca river side of the lake.

Go to seneca creek, before you get to the bridge you'll see a ton of laydowns on the left hand side. I've done very well here in the past. Also try under the bridge there or under the Twelve Mile Bridge. I caught 50 under the 12 mile bridge with 35 keepers and 20 going over 1 pound apiece with about 8 over 2 pounds. Good luck!!!

My son went with a buddy of his Friday, put in at Waldrops, couldn't have run far they were in a small boat. Fished about 2 1/2 hours with jigs over brush and caught 70-75 crappie. Then hybrids starting schooling around them and they caught several before the storms run them off the lake. I'm not sure exactly where on the lake they were though just know they put in at Waldrops.
