Fished company tourny Thursday, ended up winning with 5 that went 13 lb 15 oz. 4.9 big fish.
Fished from Broyles to Dam. Caught all largemouth on top water. Hybrid and Striper schooling everywhere with Largemouth mixed in. Got on some schooling striper/hybrid again late and had fun catching them until tourny was over all were from 3 to 5 lb range, had a Sammy almost dechromed before realizing they would hit a rubber ball if thrown in the school so I traded down to a Lew's copy and the action didn't slow. Beautiful day to be on the lake. I keep a 1 oz jigging spoon for those long distance schools and had 2 lm's throw it out one about 5lb the other about 4. I have a hard time keeping one on a spoon, not sure if it's the long cast or they just throw it easily. They are getting active and putting up a fight.

Bill,
Yep luckily we stuck it out and by 10 we were catching largemouth with them. Had it been a bigger tourny we would have probably left looking for largemouth but since it was a small company tourny we decided to stay and play and it payed off for us.

I believe you can miss two and still make the finals. We will also miss the October event and will most likely miss the Keowee tourney in January also. Sounds like they will have a good trail this year but that is nothing new for Randy, DeWayne and the guys.
