Fished the FTF today. Ended up with three that would have weighed around 6.25. Did not weigh them - did not want to take them out of the creek and to the open water. They would have seen the bluebacks and never swam back into a creek again.
We changed up totally - what we had done in practice did not work at all. We fished the backs of two creeks - shallow rock and wood. Water was 48-51 and slightly stained. Had 7 jig bites but only put three in the boat. The others were small fish also - saw two of them. All bites were on a brown jig.
Not sure how things turned out. We took out at 2:45 and started up the road. Sure Crank will post this evening.

Tough day for us too. We fished deep all day for the better part of the day. We had been catching them in 40 to 50 feet of water until today. We had one flury when we caught 3 fish in about 5 minutes. Could not catch one on a spoon, all of them came on a drop shot. Ended up with 4 that went almost 7lb and was proud of everyone of the little suckers.

Oh yeah - to add insult to injury I my steering went out on my boat. My boat is an 04 and I don't know if Skeeter will cover it. There goes another $1500 to the bottomless pit.
