First trip of 2006!!!
Was a nice day today. After the last few week's of crap weather. Dad and I finaly got to hit the big Lake again. It was sunny and in the high 60's.
The wind was up so we hit the wind blown shores in a bigcove with crank baits and spinner baits. We had no hit's till we got to a little cove out of the wind off the big cove with some down tree's.
I worked the wood with a drop-shot craw I make and call The Baby Dragon. It payed off with this nice 2 3/4 to 3lb :bass: .
Image
Then Dad droped a sinko type stick bait in the same tree and got this :bass: about 1 lb.

That was it for this spot. So we moved back out to the other side of the big cove and started working spinner baits and crank baits again on a wind blown point.
I was using the spinner bait till Dad got this nice 3.5 to 4 lber :bass: on a crank bait.

We worked around some more. But with nothing to show for it.
I did get one nice hit on crank bait. But missed it. How I will never know it just slamed it.

catch'em while they are biting, they won't be there when you need them anyways.

Cooter,
They are proto type's and as of right now am not going to put them on line. They are still in testing.

520ranger,
Ya, it's so differn't way of fishing down here then up north. Just take's time to get to know the fish down here. But, it a great way to test some of my bait's.
