after getting drenched at hartwell for 2hrs yesterday ,i decided to head over to jocassee instead of going home. No sign of rain at all there. I fished for several hours throwing topwater and c-rig. ended up with 5 total and this 4lb spot. Had several monster spots following but no hookup. i fished long shallow points in the mouths of the main rivers. first time at jocassee this year. its still full of hawgs! ,hartwell sucked again by the way :)

Thanks for the report and nice fish. Jocasse is one lake i haven't fished yet and yes, Hartwell is going to get tough certainly compared to the spring. How's that lake level in Jocasse doing?

i fish up there about 3 times a week. the lake level pretty much stays the same. one trip it might be down a couple more feet and the next trip it will be up a couple feet. i heard rumors that duke power was going to keep it low until november but that is just here say.

lol, no girls this trip. they will be along this sunday probably. . Went again to jocassee this morning to try it again. Fished 4 hours an caught 4 fish. One real nice smallmouth and another 4lb class spot. we caught the spot while it was still nearly dark so we didnt take a pic. fished the same areas with the same baits except the smallmouth my buddy caught on a fluke. Actually saw 15-20 3-4lb fish on different points during the whole morning that were just parked there not doin nuttin. no wind no chasing. kinda tough day...left at 1030 an now im back at work.lol.
