It was poor for me at Jocasse on May 1, 2009. I caught a few but all small ones. I can see from a recent photo that I wasn't in the same place. I will be next time. They were predicting 15-20 mph winds and didn't want to go there. I have never seen the lake with the 5-6ft breakers and rollers and I don't want to. My partner caught 10 perhaps on a 4" Dead Ringer... watermelon I think it was... I held out for some larger fish and came home without.
We went to the back of several creeks/rivers and pitched to the bushes and grass with no luck. Couldn't see any active beds either. They are all deeper than we can see now and the water isn't as clear as usual. Not dirty just not crystal clear like normal ...
Water temps 67 to 73 later in the day.
It was raining when we got on the lake but that was it till 5pm
Its a dangerous lake right now as there are BIG THINGS floating all over. WATCH OUT.. I had to make one emergency left turn and just missed one of them trees.
