Heading up next week for a couple day camping, never been to the lake is there any general information someone could share...staying @ the state park...thanks nut... :thumbs_up:

you have to trailer your boat every night, if you see a black cloud definately get off the big water then not in a minute but then, havent been up there in a while so dont know what the fish are doing but its as clear a lake as you will find in our area . some really beautiful waterfalls and mountain scenery so its worth a couple hours just to ride the lake. the cove between the park and the landing is a good place for the fish to school right at daylight and the bank on the campground side is a sloping bank with a lot of chunk rock usually worth bouncing a tube or something along that line. tough lake you can get skunked but i always enjoy a day on Jocassee fish or no fish

I have seen some monster bass back in the areas where the rivers come into the lake. As far back as you can get. Good luck catching them tho. lol
