I'm trying to get an idea of the water level now [79' to 80'] in relation to the last time I was at Jocassee which was July 2006. Can anyone tell me where it was last year?

Well the water may be low but there is still a great time to be had. Got back from the Jo Thursday and I hated to leave, the low water only created more beaches to pull your boat to which made for great family fun [swimming, skiing, snorkeling, etc.]. Also heard from several fishermen that the fishing was great so don't let the low water level scare you off.

I have heard a lot of good reports from the JO..

Jerk baits!!

Schooling 4-5 lb fish..

Also now just the tip of the dock is in the water. Thats how it was back 4-5 years ago. Really good fishing then.. just watch for the underwater HUMPS that are now only inches in the water..
