Got a little club tourney on Keowee this weekend and looking for some help... Fished the lake for the first time last weekend and it was tough. I got lucky and managed to catch a couple of small spots on topwater when a small school busted the surface for a few minutes. I spent a lot of time burning a bluegill pattern DT6 and a Crome Red Eye Shad in the creeks with no luck. Got a coulple nibbles on a 3/16 Shakey Head worm but no hook-ups. Mainly Fished Mid-Lake Creeks (Water temp 58-62) What would you Keowee veterans try this time of year? Thanks

try throwin a suspending jerk bait or a rattle trap. I have been out going out there for the past 3 weeks and its really hit or miss last friday only caught 1 fish went back saturday with the same pattern and caught 8 and then went back on mon and did'nt do anything. so i wish i could help u more but this time of year it can be difficult to pattern them espically for me anyways. But the bright side is spring is well on the way. Any ways good luck.

Thanks firefighter 117! Are you fishing main lake stuff or in the creeks? I keep hearing the fishing in early spring is better up North around Hwy 11 bridge. Can't always believe what you hear though... That's a long ride from Warpath on tourney day!
