Hey guys, I'm not really one to ask for advice on this lake since today was my first time on it in 15 yrs, but I'll tell you what I did so you want do the same! :D Went to the hot hole first, there were two other boats there when I arrived. Fished from 10ft to 50 ft with c-rigs, spoons, & cb's, NADA. Then went back down lake to some spots I remembered being productive years ago, Nada. Went up Cane Creek, charted some on a couple of points, got one bite on c-rig. While there, another guy pulled up, say the same fish, we talked, and he caught a spot on a double rig with a finesse worm and tube jig. He said he had only caught one other to that point in the day. I came home empty. At the landing, another guy said he had caught 4 on worms, and then another guy said he caught 20! HA! Maybe he's right, but I have a feeling he's lying. Said he caught them all on worms, 20-100 ft deep. I wish someone would show me how to fish this lake. It sure has changed alot in 15 yrs!

what ramp were you at and what did he look like? 20 fish ain't a bad day, 1 fish ain't a bad day either. like i said, its a tuff lake. i would believe the guy that caught 20, but i'll bet you they were 1 to 1 1/2 lbs each. the worm rig he is talking about is probably a doodle rig, or maybe a dropshot rig. a doodle rig is lead head or jig head worm, dropped staight down and doddled on the bottom (just pop your loose line don't jig it up and down). the dropshot rig is a dropshot sinker with the hook and bait a foot or so off the bottom. you can work it like a c-rig or use it vertically like a doodle worm (the same principle as doodling tho).
