Venture, the HH is the warm water discharge @ the nuke plant. It's just east of the Hwy130 bridge. As to why these places are off limits, well, some one with more tx experience needs to answer that for you. As I see it, the HH is a small area and would get awful crowded. And I guess the same theory applies to the dam & skimmer wall. Also, it keeps those from having the fastest boats from hogging the best spots on the lake, I guess. For a club outing, unless you have a large # of boats fishing, I would not make these spots off limits. Others may disagree.

those areas are off limits because of overcrowding. its hard to be courteous to people 10 yards away from your boat. the hot hole is the little pocket closest to the nuclear station on the northern side of the canal bride

Not only that the bait will ball up in there and as it is the warm H20 discharge it will attract the larger fish also. On your Keowee map find Warpath ramp. Follow the creek out to the main lake then find the earthen dam on the left. That is the HH, for the skimmer wall, follow the lake through the brigde and on the left shore line heading towards the Keowee dam it will be just on your left and is clearly marked on the map. I've never fished it but I've been told that you cast over the wall and there are largemouth in there. CM
