Hey guys ive never been on santee before, my father in law is on a huntin club in orangeburg on hwy 601, went there this past weekend and my boy 13yrs old killed a 7pt buck, but i was thinkin about coming down and doing some huntin and fishin. we rode out to santee state park on i think it was lake moultrie. i was wonderin if this is a good place too fish, is it safe to put boat in, and any info on where to fish would be greatly appreciated and i will post results here. ill prolly come down around thanksgiving or the week after. ive heard how dangerous it is is down there and im not planning on running any just probasbly idle around i guess. i saw alot of trees and brush across from the landing and thought it looked really good. probably will take both my boys and they want to catfish some too is there any good places too get there lines stretched real good around the park? thanks for any info
