Brand new to Santee.....well actually been 20 plus years so new to me. I have a trip down later this month and ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Water levels, water temps, fishing trends. Plan on staying in Taw Caw Creek area as that I don't have any spots to go running to fish. Looking at map Taw Caw and Wyboo is that channel safe to travel if I decided to try to travel out of Taw Caw to Wyboo? Any schooling in that area?

Best Ramps to put in on that end staying in Summerton.

The lake is probally around 5 foot low now. John C. Land Landing is the best ramp to use. As far as fishing, I would probally never leave Taw Caw Creek. Bunch of fish live in that creek. If the water temp will continue to drop, the crankbait bite will be the ticket. Send me a e-mail for color's and brand of crank's to use that works for me. Just be careful and catch some hawgs! Thanks so much for your help and information. For one of the roughest day on the water in hurricane winds(20mph and gust to 30mph) and rain showers on a brand new lake. Got me a first place bag and boat pool win. I didn't have any hawgs but 4 good solid keepers on a day when most of the club zeroed. Drive out to the mouth of the creek to see 3-4ft swells so that wasn't an option.
