My old client & now fishing buddy Moose Vetter from Ohio is dow for a few days & we decided to go out this afternoon & catch some biglips.The 1st area didn"t produce a single strike,so I decided to move several miles to the 2nd spot.This spot was loaded with baitfish & the water temp was between 68 & 70 degrees.I had just thrown a worm at a target wityhout a strike when Moose put a spinnerbait in the same spot & catches a nice 4.8 bass.We are working the area fairly close & go about 200 yards & I loose one about 3 lbs on a spinnerbait,she pulled off in the heavy cover.I decided to go to area # 3 & I was working a floating worm when all od a sudden I put a 6.8 in the boat.I hah several more follow the floating worm up but wouldn"t take it.I see a bass move about 35 from the boat,so I pick up my spoon & WHAM, she missed the spoon,so next & WHAM again,but this time she is hooked & the fight is on.I get her almost to the boat & she gets off(a good 7 lb bass) :doh: Meanwhile Moose is throwing a centipe & he hooks a good one & gets her to near the back of the boat,me with net in hand,Moose with about a 6.8 bass on & dang if it didn"t jump & throw the hook. :doh: The water temp now was up to 72 degrees & Moose puts a nice 5 lb bass in the boat & then hooks 2 more on a Horny Toad that get off,but I did manage a buck bass.The 3 that we boated & released weighed about 15.8 lbs but if we had boated those other 2 big bass,the 5 fish total would have been over 29 lbs :crying: .Oh well,thats fishing,will be out there again tomorrow.Inky
