Our club is launching out of Rocks Pond Sat March 13th. Never been to that area of the lake before. What's it like down there? Dangerous to run? Or are the channels marked? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bob,the Rocks Pond area has lots of cover to fish & is full of cypress trees,stumps,lilly pads,more stumps,some logs,several different kinds of grass,more stumps,black water ponds & Oh, did I mention stumps.You do need to know where you can run so you can have more fishing time.I would suggest a guide, if you can.If you need professional help,please take a look at my website www.inkydavis.com .

Yes, I have heard that it is slap full of stumps. My buddy told me to keep saying this to myself when I want to take off at 60mph.

"You have more time than money". Wise man..Can't afford to rip the outboard off the back of the boat.


I am going down next Thursday and Friday to check it out. Hopefully I can get some knowledge of the area before my T.
