Fished the upper lake yesterday, Sat. March 3rd. Above I-95.
We caught 14 fish, with the best 5 weighing in at 20.9 lbs.
Water temps ranged from 58-63degs. We saw several beds, but only 1 had a fish on it.

Fishing is picking up for sure!

A buddy of mine and I were above I-95 for a half day on the same day and we never got bit. We fished in the swamp across from Stump Hole and in some of the "coves" heading into Jack's Creek and couldn't find any fish; the water was pretty dingy in the swamp. You have something figured out that we couldn't get a clue on.

The bed fishermen are just part of the problem. The Shinner catch and grease are the problem. They go up in the swamp and bring out 10 lbers weekly in Jan & Feb. The water is very muddy right now will be for the next couple of weeks so sight fishing will be limited. I love to bed fish but I hope the lake stay to stained this year.
