The other 2 plants won't be built on the lake. They might draw water from the lake for make up, but they won't be close enough to make a bigger restriction on the fishing area.
As far as the off limits area, they know when you come in (by radar) and when it alarms, they can track you with cameras. Think it's more of who's watching the cameras to whether or not they call in your boat number to DNR or law enforcement. Then sometimes it's who's watching who's watching.

WOW!!!! Thanks Krowbar That is nice to know we don't have that problem up here but I have heard that Keowee may do the same thing. I think if you do it for one you do it to them all. I guess my question is how can you fish behind the Dam at Clark Hill? You can walk out and fish off of it. Nice place to catch Stripers at the right time of the year....

i remember shortly after 9/11 i was fishing the hot hole. i saw a vehicle thru woods and they watched me for a short while. then the guard came down there to the point and told me that i was in a rescricted area and i needed to leave. i didn't waste anytime getting out of there. lesson learned.

Yeah I fish Keowee alot and I don't go in there because if you don't fish it you don't miss it. Most of the TX that we fish it's off limits. I think personally that people need to learn to fish the cold water. You can fish a cove or two from the hot hole and find warm water but to fish inside it. We had a TX at Keowee last year in January a Work TX man you should have seen all the Bass Boats in there Not all of them were are but a few.
