Hello, We will be making a trip to Monti soon and was curious as to the water color, temps, and if anyone is catching anything. I love that lake!

Fished Monti yesterday(Thurs) in the afternoon. Lake was way down, had to take my shoes off to launch the boat. Water temps were anywhere from 70 to 60 depending on where you were. Water had a nice stain to it, lots of pollen on the water in places.

Managed some nice bass on a spinnerbait and zoom speed craw. Seemed like the bass were moving shallower. Beautiful day to be out. Good luck if you go.

lots of boats today, and I mean LOTS! At least 50. Never saw a fish caught, we caught three, nothing special. 5-8 feet of water on plastics. Everyone we talked to said 1-3 fish caught. Saw Water temps up to 60.

Dennis & Wink won their tour. with 5 fish weighing about 22 LBS and Big fish of 9.65 Sounds like someone caught them.

Yes, LOTS of boats..Got a late start and arrived at 10:00 a.m. to find the parking lot completly full. Had to park up along the access road. There was a bass as well as a crappie or catfish T out of there. Another bass T out of the other ramp too.

Had a pretty good day. 4lber on a SB and a few more on soft plastics. Total was 8 bass including 1 keeper smallmouth. All bass released. water temps all over the place 51 to 72 deg.

Made my way back to the ramp at 3:30. While waiting to tie up to the dock I noticed 4-5 dead bass floating by the dock. Don't know if they were alive after the weigh in or just dumped in dead.

Dennis and Wink had a PIG!!! 9.82lber. pix should be up 2day. fish bit early and late. Especially late in the afternoon. I think Dennis said the rest of their limit came after 1:30. We finished 2nd with 17 something. They had another fish probably 5 or better. We only culled one after 1pm. Fish are staging. Found a couple on the bed late--just weren't committed yet. Would definitely like to be back there 2day. Gotta work. good luck!!
