Hi all, I'm new to the site but have been fishing s.c. lakes for the last decade. I really like Monticello, however, I can't ever seem to catch bass there. I grew up fishing smallies and would love to be able to catch a few here in s.c. Wouldn't mind throwing back a few largemouth too while I'm at it. How are you guys fishing Monticello? Is it a deep bite lake only? Didn't notice a lot of shoreline cover....can you catch them shallow anywhere? Hate to hit y'all up for info on my first post, but any help would really be appreciated!!
Thanks
Jason

Not sure if we see the same lake....it def. has some shoreline cover, but not a lot. There are certain times when you can catch them shallow, but the majority of the time it is a deep bite. But that's just my opinion. Others may tell you different.
