Went to Monty this past weekend for a few crappie and they didn't let me down. I put 26 good ones in the boat and let a few go right at the boat. Lost one around 2#s but managed to catch her sister, close to 3 #s. Lost one last week at the boat that might have went 3 plus but thats fishing. I've realized in the short time I've spent at Monticello that if you find them, stay with them. If the blue cats start to bite, move the next spot, then come back about a hour or two and they'll be back. I believe the next state record Black Crappie will come from Monty, maybe from a blue G3.

That pic is from last year but they were the same size as the ones I've been catching, just didn't have the camera with me.
