Are the stripers doing anything, and if so any sugguestions? Gonna try to take my kid cousin out this week, and hopefully put him on a few. Thanks in advance.

i went out today from 10am till 4pm and probably caught 30. no keepers!! schoolin all over the place, some even in 4 feet of water..also caught bonus largemouth bass.great day today!!!!

That's funny, I went out to. I caught 19, but never went through the gap up to the rivers. I didn't catch any keeper stripers either, but I got on some 3-4lber largemouth schooling, and that was a blast. Biggest school of good size largemouth I've ever been on at Murray, all over the place. Best day I had on the water in some time.

Where are they schoolin at? I havent had the chance to go in a few weeks and Im gonna try em Friday. Thanks for the posts ya'll have made already.

I caught mine at the upper end of mid lake, but like Thrasher said. Your best bet is to head up towards little saluda/blacks bridge area. They are everywhere up there this time of year.

i live in rocky creek!! so i start there and go up towards the rivers nice and easy!!! trust me you will see them by the time you get up to blacks bridge. tons of bait!! tons of fish!!! fixin to go smoke them some more tommorrow!!! jerk baits!! knockin them things hard!!! any certian size and color of jer bait

i use the mid size rapala x-raps!! extreme slashbait action..when you see these things in the water, you'll know why. they can't stand it. they pound those things. i fished yesterday from 11am till dark. caught them like crazy in the back of rocky creek!! don't know how many i caught?? alot!! but no keepers..you can get the x-raps at wal-mart. i have all different colors. but here lately since the water is stained up there, i've been using the white one..they hit em hard!!! catching largemouth bass on them also!!
