Folks, I attend Lexington Baptist Church and have been praying for a fellow member, Lance Cpl. Kyle Carpenter. On November 21, 2010, Kyle took a direct blast from a hand-grenade while serving in Afghanistan. He was in hospitals in Afghanistan and Germany and is now in the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda Maryland. His situation is very serious with injuries to his face, arms and upper torso.
This Saturday (12/18/10) there will be a fund-raising tournament for Kyle on Lake Murray out of South Shore Marina. Winners will be recognized; all proceeds go to the Operation Kyle fund through Lexington Baptist Church. You may not want to participate in the tournament because of bad weather, family obligations during the Christmas Season, or other issues, but any contribution amount would be greatly appreciated.
