Anybody interested there's an interesting video about fizzing research on bassfan.com under dock talk. Talks about how they found that side fizzing is the most effective way to fizz.

If a bass moves from deep to shallow too fast, its air blader will over inflate. This prevents it from going back down and may kill it. Fizzing is a techniqe where a needle is stuck in the air bladder to release air so the fish can submerge again...and live.

Oh okay...I knew about that process from my deep water fishing at Monticello, but I didn't know it was called fizzing. Thanks Doc. See you at the next Monticello tourney!
