Had a rough day on the lake, 7 boats showed up to fish...my steering broke on my boat on the ride down somehow so we fished close to the ramp all day.
WT was 44-49, dead and dying shad everywhere...would have liked to have seen more of the lake as this was my first day there. Only one boat weighed in a fish, close to four pounds took the money. Everyone else was zeroes. Hope to have a better trip next time down.

Hate to hear you had mechanical problems ..... but glad to hear nobody was hurt.
Last time I seen steering cables break was on Russell about 15yrs ago (I was a senior in high school at the time) and were here pulling a seriously injured fella out of Rocky River.
Talk to ChampioNman, he's up in Townville. He probably can get you back out on the water fast with something as simple as a steering cable replacement.
IDK what boat/motor you have ..... but if it's high HP and you plan on keeping her a while ..... give a hydraulic system (i.e. SeaStar) some consideration if you got the extra cha-ching laying around .............. but then again I'm assuming you've got a cable system now.
