Well I told you I would post when I got back. Fantastic fishery. On Thursday we found fish on 4 of about 12 points we fished both primary and secondary. We caught 4 and shook off a bunch more. Friday night we wiped out about 25 spots in getting ready for the FRY. Saturady was good, finished in third with 10.28 lbs and caught around 14 all day. We wiped out another 25 to 30 spots for the FRY and releasd all the LM back to the lake. I had 2 LM and 3 spots. Sunday wasn't quite so good, my fault though as I couldn't stick a fish, just one of those days. Ended up with four little ones (spots) and seventh place. We caught them on three basic mehtods. Jerk bait early and middle of the day Sunday. CR was the big winner on Saturady as well as some on a shakey head. Junebug with chartruse dipped tail lizard and shakey tail worm, junebug with a CDT on a shakey head jig. Sunday, overcase and all they seemed to want was eiter Watermellon CDT trickworm on CR or Watermellon shakey tail with CDT on a shakey head jig. Friday we had great success with both colors so who knows. Sunday, our prime spot from Saturday just didn't produce but the points either side with fellow competitors where smokin. The guy that went on to win invited us up on his point after he had taken 15 and wasn't doing anything to him himself and we managed another six fish. We were up around the Sate Park area of the lake. Those spots sure are tasty little buggers with grits and fry's. Ron
