Any info on the night tournaments out of 72?

Does anyone know of a day tournament on Russell on May 7th?

Yeah, show up toward the end of may through june at about 6 or 7 and wait. The guys that put them on dont broadcast them much. And as BBC and Clemsonguy can tell you, if you beat 'em too bad, they wont let you fish in "their" tournament..... no chit good luck on findin info, they dont like outsiders....

The tournaments for Wednesday and Saturday started last week. I am not sure about the Friday tournaments as those are a different guy. 40/Boat 7pm-12am and changing to 1am once it warms up a bit more. 72 Boat Ramp

I can't speak for what you may have experianced a few years ago but we have been fishing both the Friday and Saturday tournaments for the last two years and I have never experianced anything but a good group of guys who just want some friendly cheap competition. Maybe those were diffrent guys. Nobody runs their mouth and everyone gets along great. I havn't seen one winner not get handshakes and congratulations after the weight in. We were outsiders and was welcomed.

Yep, they don't run their mouth at weigh in, just behind your back. I have yet to have anyone confront to my face besides the tourney director telling me he didnt have anyone signed up for "his" tournament and that they were doing their "own" tournament. Its funny how he came back and did the weigh-in for "their" tournament.

The Friday night tourney director made sure that we knew we were welcome at his tournaments.

As for Wed/Sat, I've fished a few since then after the smoke settled. Mainly because Russell (not the lake for those that don't know him) talked me into it. I haven't heard any bitching, maybe because we haven't done any good. I guess its ok to donate all the time.

To sum it up, I think it was only 2-3 guys really pushing it, but I guess its tough to confront someone when your only evidence is big largemouth.
