Our annual pilgrimage is about to take place. Heard the lake was down? Anyone know what the lake level is? Any fishing tips?

Russell was full yesterday. If your here more than one day it will be ok-one day they bite-one day they don't.

Peanutman how's the spawn been this year @ Russell?

Russell is at full pool but will start generation @ 5 with 6 units. Water will drop maybe 2" by morning but should not effect fishing. Spawn was early this year on russell and most fish are finishing up for the year. Blueback spawn has just started and is offering great topwater action all day long. I currently work at Richard B Russell dam and the amount of Bluebacks on the north side of the dam is a sign that its gonna be a great year for them.

Fished russell this afternoon and it lived up to its nickname" The Dead Sea". Cought 2 short fish up Rocky River with no signs of any fish on the bank. Gonna be a long Tx Saturday if it does'nt change.

Thanks for the info, wouldn't trade the to trips a year to Calhoun Falls State Park for anything, great campground. Always catch a few for sure.

No, Im fishing the Keowee open tour at Calhoun Falls state park. "el cheepo" tournament @ 60$ a boat but my pattern is gone anyway after that cold front came threw. Got a night tournament friday and will post any kind of pattern that I may find.

Very bad yesterday.

not fishing aba on russell-maybe aba on clarks hill sunday.

The bite should be good today or tomorrow-pretty sure more herring will be
around as it warms again this weekend and coming week! Even if they dont bite-Russell is good place to be

Friend of mine just fished a tourney on the hill last weekend, said something about russel creek I think points and sammy's! If you like I can call them back and get some better info. Haven't ever fished there, need to go, they finished 2nd with I think around 17 lbs.
