Well here is my lame-O fishing reports for Fri and Sat. First of all, Those were some big catches in 72 tourny. Sad thing is I dont have a clue right now, or at least that is the way I feel. I would be tickled to death if I had a clue on just a 5 12" fish limit. At least then I would not feel some DUMB!
Anyway, for the report. Fished Friday up from Allen Creek down to English and back again. Best luck, what there was of it was on primary and the very front of pockets secondary points with a crig, like the fello said earlier post, had to be hard bank. Even with that said I still caught a grand total of 4 fish for maybe 6 pounds and 2 crappie, son had a couple pull off, but none the less 8 total fish on the line, saw 6 of them in 10 hours of fishing.
Saturday was even worse, put in at rampy and fished to the double bridges and back, had one crig fish at 1pm and that was it, couple of other bites. Saw lots of folks crigging points, in fact 9 out or 10 I saw was doing this. At 1pm went in a long creek pocket I know of and started cranking a #7 shad rap, 3 fish in about an hour, kind of middle of the pocket/creek, these fish were all very white even in clear water, figure they just moved up. 2 nice ones about 5 lbs for the two.
So someone riddle me this are all these folks crigging really catching fish or are they just praying for a bite like I have much of the 2 days I have been down there? Got next week to fish some more, and yes I am fishing BFL. I am not begging for help yet...... but one more day like Sat and I might be. Anyone willing to throw a starving dog a bone give me a shout. You know how it goes, man ain't got an idea, C's a couple people "Jimmy Riggin" or "PeanutWorm" (aka floatin worm throwin) and they try it too "...just praying to get a bite"...
Probably just found them stacked like cord wood somewhere and was at the right place at the right time.
