fished a small work tx with dad today from 8-4.

fish bit really well for us. out of 6 boats 3 had 14lb or better bags

me and dad won it and took big fish with just under 24lbs with five fish and i had an 8-8 for big fish.

we limited out early bouncing shadraps off a shallow channel drop, and later in the morning dad was really smokin them on a L&M jig right up on the bank on deep rocky points with a little wood on them. most of the fish were fat as footballs and weighing around 3lbs each. we had a few random fish take worms and jerkbaits but they were small. couldnt buy a bite on a spinnerbait. about 1:30 that 8-8 blew a hole in the lake where my buzzbait used to be and made my day... she was in a shallow blow down real close to deep water. all fish we caught were within a mile of the boatramp.

def just had my best day on the water this year...
