Staying the long weekend at the lake with girlfriend and her 9 year old son. Took him out for a couple hours this morning before it got hot and fishing was tough. Had one bite on watermellon seed finesse worm and he had one bite on a beetle spin but that was it. Staying up towards taylor's creek and this is the first time I've been on the lake since I was young. Any help to get him on some bream, crappie, bass, or any fish would be appreciated. Lake is extremely muddy on this end and clears a little about 3 miles above the island (don't know what this is called). Lake is out of it's banks by about 2 or 3 feet and some main lake docks are completely under water. Going to try again this afternoon and in the morning. Any help would be appreciated.
