Tough. Fished from 1530 till 1930 and only caught one, a 20' procraft. I remember the days when the fishing was somewhat easy at Wateree....not any more!

Many thanks to you for catching that Procraft. We made it back to the hill and fished around the landing and caught 1 about 1 1/2 lbs. Once we came back around you guys I caught another about 10" long. We came back to the landing and I caught another about 7". All 3 were caught on different baits (Worm, Topwater, and crank) the size was getting smaller each time. I was telling my partner about how it used to be on Wateree. It was much easier to catch them. They weren't touching the shad at all.
I decided to buzz around out by the Island while my partner backed the trailer in. I was jacking down the motor and the darn thing just shut off again. I was jacking it up and down while I was trying to start it and it fired up again. Then over by the ramp it shut off again. I don't know if something is getting pinched when I run my jack plate up and down or what. I ended up taking it out at the Shaw ramp. The fishing is not worth the aggrevation. I can't wait to get my john boat back from the shop. I don't expect much from it and it's much cheaper.
Thanks Again

It should pick up in a couple of weeks...we went for a few hours Fri and caught 8 on a DT-10...only 1 on each place though...I noticed a lot of bass smacking shad so they are starting to chase some.

I fished the shaky head mostly and had about three quick pick up and spit outs, not to mention a million bluegill bumps. If I was going back out I would look deeper with spoons...saw TONS of fish suspended around bait out deeper. Still hard to get them to bite with all that bait around though.
