Got on the water at 5pm, 74 degree water and fairly clear. Lots of carp up in the grass. No luck for me, fished back in the creeks and on the main lake. Saw freshly spawned shad. Not much was eating them where I was fishing. Expected a good topwatr bite in the evening, but never found one. Heard the stripers were going nuts though. Anyone doing any good? Others I talked to were striking out also.

I was there today for a little while. Hit the water a little after 6AM. We got into some schooling stripers - let the kid fish and I just took them off the hook for her. Was fun for a while because it was literally every cast. Lost count of how many we actually caught. Fished some of my usual places after that and did not even get a bite. But then that's Wateree!
