I'm on a family vacation this week at Wateree, and have never bass fished the lake. My younger cousin (15) wants to go bass fishing but I know nothing about the lake. I do bass fish, but pretty much only at Murray. We are staying at Buckhill Landing area. Any suggestions as to where to start (creeks/ mainlake) and depths. Also is this a crankbait lake or soft plastic? Thanks in advance.

Wish I could help but last 2 times I was there Only caught 1 fish. I was told that early in the morning mid lake. Fish main lake points around the shorline grass with pop-R or tex Rig or jig. Later in the day move out to humps or main lake points with crankbaits if they are pulling water use a C/R in about 20 ft of water. This may help. Just remember I only caught 1 fish in two trips. Fishing is TOUGH right now.
