My partner and I fished last week, caught 4 small ones early had about a 4lb fish to the boat and got off. All of them caught on shakey head with Zoom old purple trick worm.

Welcome also. Thanks for posting on Wateree. Went last month and did not do any good at all. Planning on going back this month. Live about an hour and half away. Have had good luck in past. Always liked lake.
Keep the posts coming. Need all the help I can get.

Was at Wateree Sunday morning before the wind got up. Caught several in the 1 to 1 1/2 lb. range and one that went 6lbs. in the edge of the grass all on a shad rap. The funny thing the cast before the big fish I snagged a dang carp in the back. I thought I had a whale it took me forever to get that thing to the boat. I was really dissapointed when I seen it was a carp. Made another cast to the grass and hauled in the 6 pounder.

Tried a worm around some wood no takers. Everything came out the grass around rocky banks. Then the wind picked up the river turned to the ocean and I left.
