After reading some of the posts from the last couple of weeks, I feel better. Fished last Sat from 8am to 7pm and we only boated 2 fish (1 @ 1 1/2lbs, 1 @ 2 lbs). This year seems to be much tougher in late April/early May than I ever remember. We fished some main lake stuff south of Mills Creek, 7 Oaks, Withers, and some main lake stuff south of the coal station. Water was about 78-80 mostly, and clear-green to hazy-green.

CATT Final on Wylie was yesterday and over 18 lbs won...I can tell you for a fact those boys were fishing down...jig on the docks and the winner was Louie Hull so no doubt he was using a Shooter jig because he's the guy who makes them...
We fished until 12 and caught 10 all on jigs under floating docks in Beaver Dam and main lake near Crowders...lot of shad were under the docks and we caught 4 off the same dock..had three 3 pounders and the rest were 1 1/2 and 2 pounds...
no topwater bite at all..not even a sniff
