from the pic looks like the ramp at 74 bridge which would mean way up lake is where it was found, sure do hate the put those carp in , when they did it in Mt Island it killed the good fishing :sad:

I hate to see it, too. I know too much of anything is bad, but there needs to be some balance. I think everyone -- at least fishing wise -- can agree some grass is a real boon to just about all bass fisheries.

I moved here and started fishing Wylie in 1982. It has never had much grass I ever knew of and it has proven to be an excellent bass lake and even with all the excessive pressure it sees now it still is a strong bass lake. RM

That wasn't meant to be a knock on Wylie, RM, hope you didn't take it that way. I've had a lot of good days on Wylie since I came here in 2004, including one evening out of the back of your boat! :thumbs_up:

The lake is good, and withstands a tremendous amount of fishing pressure, no doubt. But it just seems that lakes that have grass produce more consistently and more poundage per acre. The guys I have talked with who fished Murray when it had its grass compared to now say fishing has slowed.

But having grass in a lake brings a whole new set of issues and other concerns.
