Finally got to go fishing again last night. It was a beautiful night but not very productive......LOL. Water was 81/82 degrees and clear. The lake is very low and down about 3 ft it looked like. I fished from the steam plant down to Crowders. Caught 1 small keeper and that was it. Boat ran well and everything still works......LOL.

Iwas out a week ago Monday and was surprised at how low the water was.

I was too. Since this was only my second trip this year and we had caught up with the rain I figured we'd have moroe water. The Broad River is extremely low too. Everyone is pumping drinking water out of it and that leaves very little left apparently.

I went racing yesterday and going up 85 I crossed Southfork and it was way low too and a couple foot of the dam was exposed. Went across Norman and it was down too. Looks like we will get some serious rain the next couple days. I got caught in a monsoon leaving the race track last night.

It poured all day Monday in Gastonia, and sounds like more coming Thursday. All that new water should help the spinnerbait bite! No if I could just fishing the work around the house, maybe I would get a chance to go ... :hmm:

We got 4 inches from the storm at my home outside Gaffney. However I went to Spartanburg today and drove over the Pacolet River on Hwy 29 and no water weas going over the dam. That left me to think the lakes above were low and absorbed all that water.

Well, hopefully we get some positive results from the tropical systems that are lined up. They are calling for even more rain early next week.
