Went last week. Their was activity with baitfish breaking the water. Assuming the bass were chasing them to the service. We throwed everything in the tackle box, and no bites.

I used to fish Blalock a lot. Try jigging a spoon around and under the Hwy. 221 bridge. Since the shad are on the move, predators should be hanging around there. Good Luck.

Fished noon until five today, surface water temp. 47 degrees visibility ~2'. Tried worm, jig and spoon with no luck switched to deep crank around 3 pm. About 3:30 the bite turned on for 30 minutes caught three over drop-offs to the river bed. The "Sports Academy" cranks seem to be my best shot now days.

Thanks David, I also apreciate your previous advise for the bridge wil probably try it out next time I'm on the Lake.
Hey, I noticed you fish in the monthly Big Bass Tournament at Bowen. That really looks like everyone has a great time and I sure would like to fish it in Feburary.
"If anyone out there would like a boater for Feburary I would sure enjoy getting involved just send me a pm. I have never fished Bowen and don't have a boat permit for that lake."

Hey CC,
I guess just post up a "anybody need a parter ad" when Iceman posts the next invite for the LBBB TX to see if anybody needs one. If I ever come upon needing a partner, I'll let you know too.
