I've never heard about it but was planning a trip to Blalock sometime before it gets to cold. Does anybody know how far a 30 HP, 17 ft. aluminum Bass Tracker can go up the river :?: I'm curious if you can actually get right below Bowen dam :?: From looking at the satellite images on Google there is nothing stopping a boat besides probably shallow and rocky waters. Just curious before I make an attempt :lol: :idea: Any help would be appreciated, thanks ahead.

There's a dam for rainbow lake in the way before you get to bowen. It looks pretty deep from the bridges upstream...several feet...and not really flowing too bad, but I don't think they'll let you near rainbow lake dam...surely there's signs if there's even enough water.

A little ways above peach tree road you better be on trolling motor. Maybe 2 foot deep but above that a little deeper. theres a set of shoals before you get to rainbow lake thats as far as it goes.Good fishing
