Well my buddy and I fished a little tournament Saturday out on this little body of water; to put it mildly I was suprised come weigh-in time. My partener and I were feeling pretty good about our 5 fish for 15lbs 3ozs...until the guy with 5 for 24lbs 1oz weighed in! I would have never thought that a body of water as small as it is and that gets the pressure it gets could produce a stringer like that. 2nd place was 17 something and we fininshed 3rd. We had our limit of about 12lbs by 7am and culled all day long up to our 15. We probably caught 4 limits easy all on a weightless worm with a 3/0 hook. Basically dead-sticked the worm, twitched it a few times and repeat. Partner lost one about 5.5lbs with half an hour to go that might have given us 2nd place. All in all, one of the best days I've had "catching" in quite some time. Can't wait to go back and give it another try. I plan on going during the week next time though as the launch is very crowded on the weekends; this place gets a lot of pressure from what I could see.
