Went to Lake Thicketty Sat evening from 6:30p till about 9p and did about the same as I always do up there. Caught 5, most between 1-2lbs but managed one a little over 4lbs. Caught the 4#er chunking a #5 shadrap up unto a creek that was pumping chocolate milk-like water into the lake. Never had a spectacular stringer from this lake but I think if I took the time to really learn the lake it could be worth the trouble of putting in and taking out without a dock. (which really sucks when you have a big bass boat) Does anybody on here fish this lake and do well? If so I would appreciate any advice you can give. The only thing I can offer is to suggest throwing crankbaits, thats all I have caught them on with any consistency. By the way, I have seen lots of fish on the bed in this lake during spring and there are plenty of healthy fish in there.

I'm trying to think where in da chit Lake Thicketty even is :???: ...................... but it is a good report though .

My buddy use to live close to it and we use to fish it alot years ago. The best fish we caught out of it came from the bridge, creek area where the road was before they made the lake. You can see the road going into the water at both ends and about in the middle of the water there is a creek channel and an old bridge. Use to be a good fish area. It's never been a great bass lake but it was close and always available. It will get muddy in a rain and stay muddy too. RM

My fishing buddy lives on the lake kind of. We have caught a few nice ones but they are hard to find. I have caught a few in the 6# range but thats usually in the spring of the year.

I haven't fished Thickety in a couple of years. The only luck I've had there is on the road bed, like RM said. Normally could catch a few small ones beating the banks early morning. That lake would skunk me about half the time.
