Welchel is still quite muddy with lots of algae on top. Joe seemed to think that at least parts of the lake had turned over. Water temps were in mid-to-high 70s. As RM mentioned, we got 4 each...that lake will not let you have more that 4 fish, but we both boated some pretty nice fish, plus a 20 lb turtle...god that was a big snapper and he wasn't real happy either...LOL A nice topwater bite started at about noon, but we had to go...hated to go, top water is a lot of fun, but gotta do what ya gotta do....
Really nice day on the water and you can't beat that.
